This page gives in-depth information about the various selectable freatures you can select for sorcery to use.

Information

Archive

Archives all installed components of a spell so that if you decide to dispel the spell it can easily be recovered and "ressurrected."

Autofix

Has sorcery check for broken spells and fix them after a sorcery update.

Autoprune

Automatically removes old sources and installs cached sources upon sorcery update

Cabal

Provides a new sorcery menu that makes it easier to administrate users and groups on the machine

CCache

Caches the initial compilation of a spell so that upgrading the spell later on will be much faster

Color

When selected, cast and dispel show colored messages

Config_loc

Locally customizes spell configuration (e.g. "Do you wish to add -- options to ./configure? [n]")

Gather_Docs

Automatically gather miscellaneous documentation from spells (currently broken)

Mail_Reports

Email reports to address specified via Sorcery -> Option Menu -> Email of Sorcerer

Patch

Download and apply xdelta patches when available (none have been available for a while, we're working on adding some)

Preserve

Preserve modified files or back them up and overwrite with defaults

Sound

Play audio with prompts (theme sounds from smgl/sorcery-sound-*)

Sustain

Disallow dispelling of spells that would cause terrible malfunctions (according to /var/lib/sorcery/sustained)

TMPFS

Attempt to compile entirely in RAM

View_Reports

Prompt to view a report of the compilation

Voyeur

View compilation as it happens

Reap

Remove files installed by spell when dispelling

Net_Select

Use 'netselect' to try fastest mirrors first if 'netselect' is available

Clean_Source

Clean up source directories after failures

Cross_Install

Non-native installation / cross-compilation
