Member of the Tome team, helps maintain documentation. I am also the maintainer for the 'net' section. I have been using SMGL for over three years (maybe longer?) and was introduced to SMGL by DavidKowis. I have used many differnet Linux distributions, but I have never been more satisfied with SMGL.
I have five years experience in nearly all aspects of web design, development, and management -- from server configuration and management to complex web-based applications development using languages including ColdFusion, PHP, and others. Standards based XHTML and CSS always!

Current SMGL Projects
I have built MANY boxes in the past using SMGL, however, I currently only have three servers running SMGL -- the other three servers all run Windows 2003, and my desktop dual boots SMGL and Windows XP. Yeah, I know, I have thought many times of converting the other three servers to SMGL. However, I have 28 users who are quite happy with their Exchange mailboxes, and a huge re-configuration of that magnitude is out of the question (at the moment, anyway).
My most critical server running SMGL is my Internet gateway/firewall. It runs:
- Postfix, used as a mail gateway for the purpose of scanning for spam and viruses
- dSpam
- ClamAV
- Shorewall
- Apache 2.2 with mod_security, used as a reverse proxy
I have a second server which is connected to a SPANned port on my Cisco switch, and it runs ntop and Cacti.
The third SMGL server is really a home-brew DVR which records motion from various cameras installed around my house. I am toying with both Motion and ZoneMinder. I like ZoneMinder because it has a very nifty web interface. But Motion uses FAR less resources when monitoring multiple cameras at higher resolutions (but I have a custom web interface I use, which is not nearly as fantastic as ZoneMinder's).

- Someday, get the bawls to migrate my three Windows 2003 Server boxes to SMGL...
