When did you first start using Linux and why? In 1993, it was Slackware. I was fascinated by so much floppies. :-))

How long have you been using the SMGL distribution? There is a date 2002-01-14 written on my install ISO of Sorcerer GNU Linux. I am not sure if this was my first one, probably no, because first spells I submitted were outguess, stegdetect and ethereal dated 2002-01-16.

What piqued your interest in SMGL initially? It was really up to date distro balancing on the bleeding edge and the installation started with configuring, compiling and installing of Linux kernel. It started where books about Linux usually ends. :-))

What future do you personally see for SMGL? If I did not see great future of SMGL I would not contribute to it. I hope it will fulfil my Linux needs forever. :-)) Of course there is and still will be a lot of work with SMGL. It is really never ending process. You submit a spell one day and next day you have to correct it because authors launched new version of their software and compilation and dependances of it was totally changed. So, we will always need developers who are hard working on SMGL. To be on the bleeding edge will always need fresh blood. If we ensure the sufficiency of fresh blood the future of SMGL will be great.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Education/Career/Skills? I graduated at Military Academy in Brno - computer science. I teach there operating systems, computer networks and computer security. And of course, some days I spend dressed in combat fatigues.

Any personal messages for the Source Mage users out there? Ride the raven to gaze the sorcery world, where you can summon, cast and dispel spells and scribe grimoires in your codex.

vi or emacs? vi

KDE or GNOME? Enlightenment

BSD or GPL? GPL

What other OS programs/software have you worked on? I am a teacher so I have been worked on a lot of programs/software. I have to teach what my bosses want me to teach. It is real torture to present Microsoft products and technologies. Of course I always mention better ones. :-))

Do you have any family? Yes, I have. :-))

What kind of car do you drive? Or what is your dream car? I do not have car neither in reality nor in dreams. I do not need it.

Please attach a recent photograph of yourself - if you're brave enough ;=)
