Open issues
Anything which has been completed somewhere should be moved to the DONE section.
Possibly put vim on the iso instead of/in addition to elvis? Depends on the size of a minimal vim.
Closed issues
Printing more useful information in the bash prompt of the guided installer - DONE
Various FS support seems to be missing from the system tarball even though it's on the ISO. Bring system tarball into sync with the ISO. - DONE
ndiswrapper is not presently on the iso, but is needed for some users to be able to set up networking. This should be added at least to the system tarball if not also to the iso itself. - DONE See installation notes at Getting ndiswrapper onto the iso for information as to how to do this (it required hacking the spell in order to install inside a chroot).
Rebooting - do we unmount and eject the cd for the user and then tell them simply to reboot, or do we instruct them to unmount and eject the cd before telling them to reboot? I'm opting for the second choice here personally. - DONE: Currently, the user is instructed to umount the filesystems and then reboot the machine, with a reminder to take out the cd after rebooting.
